Cape Tribulation Day Tour

Cape Tribulation Day Tour

Spend a full day in national parks where the rainforest meets the sea

Your day trip begins when you are picked up from Cairns and driven along the scenic coast road to Port Douglas. After visiting some of the sights of this resort town the guide will explain some of the unique geographical features of the Mossman Gorge and surrounding countryside, part of Daintree Rainforest. Once at Mossman Gorge either take a guided rainforest walk or swim in clear waters in the gorge. Take morning tea at Daintree River before embarking on an hour long cruise downriver where you may see snakes, flying foxes, birds, frogs, and even crocodiles.

A short drive trip up to Alexander Range Lookout where you will find lunch is being cooked in a tropical orchard. A delicious buffet is available. You might like to take a refreshing swim before lunch in a local pool.

Travelling northwards after lunch we arrive at the isolated Cape Tribulation. Visit the observation lookout and take a fascinating walk through the Cape Tribulation National Park where you will appreciate the need to protect rainforest and the environment. Take a 4 wheel drive traversing the Alexander Range where rare King Ferns can be seen growing. Crossing the river by cable barge, the tour ends when your coach returns you to your hotel after an unforgettable day.
