Experience the wildlife of the wetlands and visit a coffee plantation – all in a day
The day begins with a tour of the cairns Wildlife Safari Reserve where all types of native and other animals can be observed. After a delicious lunch it is time to visit the Jacques Coffee Plantation. See the coffee from plants to beans and taste some of the products including coffee liquor.
At the Mareeba Tropical Wetlands and Savannah Reserve you will take and electric boat onto the lagoon. Conserving over 5000 acres of savannah and wetlands this is a protected area for all kinds of wildlife and with over 200 species of bird this is an ornithologist’s paradise. Spend time observing the many varieties of birdlife here and it is also the ideal place to get a view of the Australian Outback.
After a wine and cheese supper at Mareeba it is time for the transfer back to your accommodation after a memorable day.
